Broke Back Dogs
This is a Scouting service organization in the Southwest Florida Council.
The Broke Back Dogs believe that a well trained leader is better prepared to provide an
exciting and meaningful Scouting Program.  They also  believe strongly in fun.
Members must be active as both participants and staffers of the various training courses
available through the BSA.  The dogs are regularly seen staffing and organizing
 district and council events.

One event the dogs host is the annual Broke Back Dog Challenge. This event is
normally open only to units that have a dog as an adult leader in their unit.

Boy Scouts and Venturers can also be be nominated to join the Junior Dogs.
Junior dogs make up a large number of the Youth Staff at events. They have
staffed the National Youth Leadership Training and have instructed adults
 at Wood Badge.
