We offer a full program of Scouting adventure and
education. Our program is well-rounded and quite diverse. Troop 18
combines traditional and contemporary scouting. We feel it is important to
be able to use both a GPS and a compass. Not to mention finding your way
with out either. We go camping, backpacking, canoeing, swimming,
fishing and hiking. The skills practiced include pioneering (yes knots and
lashings), archery, shooting, computers, first aid, orienteering and trail
signs. We also play games and sports. The boys get opportunities to lead
and to instruct. We take part in community service and conservation
projects. We are forming a C.E.R.T team to assist in disasters such as
hurricanes. |
